Sustainability at ALPENHEAT
For us, sustainability means taking responsibility for the impact of our business activities and our products.
We therefore focus on concrete measures in various areas – from reducing single-use plastics and using electricity from renewable sources to supporting projects that collect plastic waste.
Empower
Supporting Plastic Waste Collection with CleanHub
At ALPENHEAT, we support projects in cooperation with CleanHub that collect and responsibly process plastic waste in regions where waste collection systems are limited or not sufficiently accessible.
For the period from June 1, 2026 to May 31, 2027, we have set ourselves the goal of financing the collection of a total of 3,000 kg of plastic waste.
To put this into perspective: 1 kg of plastic corresponds approximately to the weight of 80 PET bottles. Our target of 3,000 kg therefore corresponds approximately to the weight of 240,000 PET bottles.
The projects supported by CleanHub collect plastic waste directly from the environment, at local collection points or from households. The collected materials are then sorted. Recyclable plastics are recycled. Non-recyclable plastics are, in some of the supported projects, used as alternative fuel in cement production, replacing fossil fuels.
In addition, supporting local collection structures contributes to creating jobs and improving waste management infrastructure in the respective regions.
The amount supported by ALPENHEAT and the progress of the project are documented in the CleanHub Impact Report. You can find our latest CleanHub Impact Report here: https://www.cleanhub.com/impact-report/alpenheat

Electricity from Renewable Sources
For our headquarters and warehouse, we use electricity from 100% Austrian hydropower. For more information see: https://www.verbund.com/en/group/responsibility
This means that our own operating locations are supplied with electricity from renewable sources.
Recycling of Our Packaging
Together with Interzero, we support the proper recovery and recycling of our packaging. For more information see: https://interzero.at/en/sustainability/
In doing so, we aim to help keep packaging materials in the material cycle wherever possible and use resources efficiently.
We also use recycled materials in the production of our products wherever technically and qualitatively feasible. We continuously assess which materials and components are suitable for the use of recycled materials.
Durable Products
We place great importance on developing high-quality and durable products.
Our heated products are designed for repeated use. A long service life can help avoid replacing products unnecessarily early and thus contribute to using resources more efficiently.
When developing our products further, we also consider aspects such as quality, functionality and durability.
Continuous Improvement
We see sustainability as an ongoing process.
We continuously review our products, packaging and business processes and look for ways to use materials more consciously and further improve our processes.
We focus on concrete and transparent measures and aim to provide clear information about what we are already doing and where we continue to work on improvements.
